A Department of Justice prosecutor's "vendetta" against a former CIA director threatens to backfire and arm President Donald Trump's foes, a legal expert argued.

All Rise News legal analyst Adam Klasfeld flagged on Saturday a new federal court motion from former CIA Director John Brennan, the target of the "grand conspiracy" probe into the FBI's 2016 Trump-Russia investigation, which Trump calls illegitimate.

Brennan asked a Washington, D.C. judge to force the Justice department to preserve internal records ahead of what his attorneys call a "constitutionally vindictive and selective" prosecution, according to Klasfeld....

CNN correspondent Katelyn Polantz said that President Donald Trump's enemy, former CIA Director John Brennan, has filed a new lawsuit against the administration that could provoke Trump.

Polantz reported that Brennan has sued to try to have investigative records into him preserved. She revealed more details about the lawsuit during a live segment with CNN anchor Boris Sanchez.

"Well, Boris, this filing — it's essentially been described to me as poking the bear, where John Brennan's team is trying to signal to the Justice Department that if he were to be indicted for, say, potentially perjury, we knew he had been investigated for that, or something additional that they will be challenging it," Polantz said. ...

The Department of Justice is setting up President Donald Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to hear Trump revenge cases, according to a former U.S. attorney.

The Southern District of Florida U.S. Attorney’s office is reportedly ramping up the revenge prosecutions in a "mass investigation" and targeting Trump enemies, even eyeing cases against former President Barack Obama and former CIA Director John Brennan, MSNBC reported Tuesday.

The referral is addressed to Attorney General Pam Bondi and alleges that Brennan misled lawmakers over denying the CIA's involvement with the Steele dossier, which contradicted other declassified documents, according to Newsweek. It asks for a prompt review of potential charges.

During an Oval Office meeting with Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, President Donald Trump kept circling back to attack former President Barack Obama, regardless of the reporters' questions.

Even when asked about information Trump has received on the man who tried to assassinate him in Butler, PA, before the 2024 election, Trump ended up accusing Obama of staging a "coup" against him.

"You know, they went into him very, you know, in great detail," Trump began saying about would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks. "And I spoke with the FBI — the new FBI. I spoke to the FBI. If it was the old FBI, I wouldn't have believed a thing they said because the old FBI under Comey was crooked as hell."...
