Donald Trump's list of his former attorneys who have received sanctions or been barred from the practice of law in one or more jurisdictions just got a little bit longer.

Jeffrey Clark, a former high-ranking Justice Department official under Trump's administration, was found to have violated ethics rules. Similarly, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani predicted he would be disbarred and that it would help him "in heaven."

Now, Trump lawyer John Eastman "has been temporarily suspended from practicing law in the District of Columbia," according to Bloomberg News....

Donald Trump has "plenty to worry about" after facts of his involvement in alleged election subversion attempts went public in a recent ruling recommending disbarment for his former legal advisor, according to a new report.

Trump worked with John Eastman in matters related to the 2020 election, and a disciplinary judge recently found that Eastman should be disbarred for going too far for his client in trying to overturn a fair vote.

But buried in that order is damning evidence against Trump himself, according to the Washington Post's piece....

A judge recommending disbarment for a Trump-aligned attorney who allegedly participated in 2020 election subversion efforts included one line in the ruling that stood out to political and legal experts.

JustSecurity reporter Adam Klasfeld highlighted the line from the disbarment recommendation filing for John Eastman. Eastman was indicted alongside former president Donald Trump for his alleged role in a scheme to overturn the results of Georgia's presidential election in 2020.

"A blistering line from John Eastman's disbarment recommendation: The Bar finds that the 'scale and egregiousness' of Eastman’s 'unethical actions far surpasses the misconduct' by Nixon henchman Donald Segretti, who coined the word 'ratf------' for political dirty tricks," Klasfeld wrote on his social media....

John Eastman, who was indicted alongside former president Donald Trump for his alleged role in a scheme to overturn the results of Georgia's presidential election in 2020, has reportedly been recommended for disbarment by an attorney discipline judge.

The court recommended disbarment for Eastman, who has previously seen his Trump-related legal arguments shot down in the public square, on Wednesday, according to POLITICO's Kyle Cheney.

Special Counsel Jack Smith's office is asking for transcripts from the disbarment trial of the former Donald Trump attorney John Eastman, Politico reported.

According to Politico's Kyle Cheney and Josh Gerstein, the request shows that prosecutors still have their eye on Eastman, who played a significant role in Trump's attempts to delegitimize the results of the 2020 election. He is one of six alleged Trump co-conspirators in Smith's federal indictment against Trump in D.C., although he has not been charged in connection with that case.

"It's a rare recent sign of ongoing activity by the special counsel's office," Cheney said on social media on Thursday....
