Ex-White House doctor flags signs Trump's health is a 'much bigger concern'

President Donald Trump's swelling in his legs could signal a "much bigger concern" than a benign issue, a former White House doctor said.

During an appearance on CNN on Wednesday, Jonathan Reiner, best known as Dick Cheney's former cardiologist, discussed swelling in Trump's legs, dark marks on his hands, and his falling asleep in meetings. Trump's physician has said it's caused by chronic venous insufficiency.

"I hope he has that because that's really a benign issue that you see in older people," Reiner said. "But if indeed he didn't have any swelling three months before and now he has this, what appears to be sort of massive swelling of his legs, that's a much bigger concern."...

'The wrong leader': Ex-White House doctor has scorching smackdown for RFK Jr.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner, former cardiologist to Vice President Dick Cheney, unleashed a serious criticism of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over his lack of response to a recent rodent-borne illness outbreak.

Reiner shared his stern criticism of Kennedy in an X post on Saturday.

"RFK Jr has yet to address the hantavirus outbreak," Reiner wrote. "As leader of the massive US health enterprise he should be out front reassuring the American public about the threat, and our response capabilities. But he’s spent a career casting doubt on the safety and efficacy of vaccines and the risk of a variety of viral illnesses. He’s the wrong leader for HHS."...

Ex-Bush admin doc recommends Trump undergo formal medical testing after observing symptoms

A former White House cardiologist advised President Donald Trump's medical team to consider formal testing after the president appeared to fall asleep in the Oval Office this week.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who was the cardiologist to late former Vice President Dick Cheney for nearly 30 years, described what he saw after Trump was caught visibly tired during a White House event on Thursday. The president was speaking with a group of cabinet members about several topics, including health care, prescription drug prices, and the economy, when people started to notice he was nodding off.

Reiner recommended that Trump's medical team consider additional steps to address the potential health concern....

Ex-White House doc calls for 'veto proof' bill to oust 'incapacitated' presidents

A former White House doctor has called for Congress to pass a bill that would make removing a president from office easier.

Jonathan Reiner, who served as former Vice President Dick Cheney's cardiologist, has been outspoken in his criticism of President Donald Trump over the last few months. Reiner has suggested in the past that Trump is in a cognitive decline and now feels there could be precedent for Congress to pass a bill to streamline the process for removing a president whose mental faculties are being questioned.

Reiner wrote, "I don’t think any cabinet, Republican or Democrat, would ever remove a president who is not obviously severely medically incapacitated. ...

Trump's arch mocked by onlookers who believe next president will 'tear it down'

President Donald Trump's plan for a controversial 250-foot-tall gold-covered arch to be built at Memorial Circle in Washington, D.C. has been ridiculed by critics.

The renderings, produced by architecture firm Harrison Design, depict a massive structure flanked by four gold lions and topped by a 60-foot-tall gold statue of an angel, with "one nation under God" inscribed at the top. The project has generated intense opposition from preservationists, lawmakers, and activists.

Professor of Political Science and Senior Fellow of the Freeman Spogli Institute and Hoover Institution at Stanford University, Michael McFaul, criticized the project as a badly timed piece from Trump. ...

Ex-White House doctor calls for 'medical evaluation' of Trump after disturbing new video

A former White House doctor has told Donald Trump he desperately needs to seek medical attention after a Truth Social post.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who served as cardiologist to former Vice President Dick Cheney, took to X and urged Trump to receive an evaluation. Reiner wrote, "Earlier in the week the president threatened to kill an entire civilization. Now he posts a video of a woman being beaten to death.

"To put it mildly, that’s concerning behavior. If he was a member of your family you would urge him to see a doctor. He should have a medical evaluation."...
