Republican Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo avoided answering a direct question about President Donald Trump's tariff policies and their impact on the tourism-reliant state during a recent interview.

Lombardo spoke to 2 News Nevada in an exclusive interview last week and appeared visibly uncomfortable with denouncing Trump's tariffs, which have led to a tourism crisis in the state that heavily depends on travelers, especially in cities like Las Vegas. The loss of global tourism has hit the state's economy and become a serious concern among Nevada lawmakers ahead of the midterm elections this fall, according to Politico.

But Lombardo apparently did not have a strong stance on the topic, 2 News Nevada reported....

FBI Assistant Director Christopher Raia said at a Thursday press conference that investigators have found "no definitive link" between the New Orleans terror attack that killed at least 15 people and the Cybertuck explosion in front of a Trump hotel in Las Vegas that killed the driver.

"Early this morning, evidence response teams finished their work at the crime scene. Bourbon Street has been turned over to the City of New Orleans," Raia said. "As you know, there's also an FBI investigation in Las Vegas. We are following up on all potential leads and not ruling everything out. However, at this point, there is no definitive link between the attack here in New Orleans and the one in Las Vegas."

Raia also said, "We do not believe the public is in danger" at any other location in New Orleans related to the attack perpetrated by 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar....

Thousands of Donald Trump supporters rallied in baking heat Sunday to cheer on the Republican presidential candidate in Nevada, a key battleground state for the U.S. election in November.

Donald Trump on Saturday said he was treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, prompting laughter from the audience at his rally in Nevada.

The former president delivered remarks to a Team Trump Nevada Commit to Caucus Rally in Las Vegas, where he said he should be number one on a list of presidents who were treated the worst. He even specifically mentioned beating Abraham Lincoln for that top spot.

"People say, 'How do you do it, sir?' I get two questions, 'If you had it to do again, would you do it?' Because you know in history, they say the president that was treated the worst was Abraham Lincoln, but he had the Civil War. He had a little Civil War going," Trump said. "And Jackson was treated very badly. Andrew Jackson, he was treated very badly. And a few others." ...

Donald Trump is scheduled to speak soon before the Republican Jewish Coalition, just after his former vice president announced he was dropping from the race.

Trump, who has consistently dominated Pence and his other GOP rivals for the presidential nod, has not yet commented publicly about his former running mate's untimely suspension of his campaign. Trump reportedly has two scheduled events in Nevada on Saturday.

The first of those campaign events, before the Republican Jewish Coalition, is already being broadcast live by Right Side Broadcasting Network. ...
