Mark Esper, the former secretary of defense under Donald Trump, warned that foreign leaders are "concerned" and "bracing" for his one-time boss's return to office.

During a Wednesday interview on CNN, Esper explained why President Joe Biden was "right" about foreign policy and national security.

"If Trump is re-elected, will he reduce the U.S. role in NATO?" CNN's Jessica Dean asked Esper. "He has said, he's made a lot of passing comments about it, said that if countries in Europe aren't paying their fair share, that Russia and Putin can do whatever they want to them, things like that. How do you think that these domestic politics could potentially affect the global stage?" ...

Former Trump Defense Secretary Mark Esper told Bill Maher that a second term for Donald Trump will be filled with loyalists, and not political professionals.

Esper, who has previously expressed his concerns about a second Trump term, said on Real Time with Bill Maher that the ex-president is a "threat to democracy" that Americans must take seriously. But he hesitated when Maher pressed him on voting for Biden.

"So you'll vote for Biden?" the host asked....

Esper appeared on CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta, where the two discussed everything from Trump's recent attacks on a deployed service member to the former president's story about denying NATO allies assistance when they're attacked by Russia, unless they put up cash.
