Pollster reveals fight flying under radar that's enraging swing voters

Pollsters are finding that swing voters are increasingly worried about a trending issue that's being overlooked.

Sarah Longwell, a Republican pollster and the publisher of The Bulwark, revealed in a podcast that swing voters are sharing a long list of concerns about AI data centers with pollsters.

The issue is "flying under the radar as a big picture issue for folks in D.C., but I hear it coming up all the time in focus groups," Longwell said. "I know some people are paying attention to this, but I mean, the voters talk about it all the time."...

White House likely to ignore Americans’ views on Iran despite clear polling: NYT reporter

White House likely to ignore Americans’ views on Iran despite clear polling: NYT reporter

The Trump administration was expected to move forward with continued strikes in Iran regardless of how Americans feel about it, a New York Times reporter said Monday.

In his first comments since the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran this weekend, President Donald Trump signaled Monday that the campaign was progressing, said Tyler Pager, White House correspondent for the New York Times, during a live broadcast with CNN anchor Dana Bash.

Trump's comments come as a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS revealed that 59% of Americans do not approve of the strikes in Iran and anticipate a long-term conflict in the region. ...

'Absolutely awful!' CNN data guru taken aback as GOP to pay for cratering Trump

'Absolutely awful!' CNN data guru taken aback as GOP to pay for cratering Trump

CNN's Harry Enten was astounded Friday when he revealed how recent polling results show just how much President Donald Trump's approval rating has plummeted.

Enten pointed out that Trump has maintained a consistent slump for almost a year, putting him and the Republican Party in a tough spot ahead of the midterm elections.

"I think it's so important to note when you look at Trump's net approval rating," Enten said. "It's been negative in the recent polling, but it just hasn't been the recent polling. Look at this, look at how long his approval rating has been negative. It's been nearly a year. We're talking over 345 days in the red. And with independents, it's even been worse. I mean, overall approval rating has been between -10 and -20 points. The past few polls, if you take an average of them, but if you look among independents, he's been floating at about -30 points. Oftentimes, the numbers with independents have been absolutely awful, and I'm just not quite sure how an administration can be politically alive when you have numbers that are that poor."...

JD Vance confronted with harsh polls on Fox News: 'Turn it around'

JD Vance confronted with harsh polls on Fox News: 'Turn it around'

Vice President JD Vance had to face a reality check from an unlikely source Wednesday — Fox News.

Vance was talking to anchor Bill Hemmer following President Donald Trump's rambling and record-breaking State of the Union speech, when Hemmer asked him several pointed questions about dismal polling results showing Americans' dissatisfaction with the economy, The Daily Beast reported.

Hemmer pointed to how the topic was an “issue that might clip” Republicans just months away from midterms. He referred to a Fox News poll conducted from Jan. 23–26 that revealed just 40 percent approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, while 59 percent disapprove, according to The Beast. ...

Frustrated Trump warned he may 'turn Americans off' with this move at State of the Union

Frustrated Trump warned he may 'turn Americans off' with this move at State of the Union

An analyst suggested Monday that President Donald Trump's upcoming State of the Union speech this week could repel or further annoy Americans if he continues to blame people for feeling unappreciated.

CNN senior White House correspondent Kristen Holmes revealed that voters, who have shown a serious disapproval for Trump's second presidency in a series of dismal polls, could be put off by his potential comments.

"The problem is that the President has grown increasingly frustrated because he thinks he isn't getting enough credit for anything he does. If that frustration comes out tomorrow, it is likely to turn voters/Americans off," Holmes explained....

Senior Republicans privately 'wetting the bed' over Trump fallout: report

Senior Republicans privately 'wetting the bed' over Trump fallout: report

Republican operatives have reportedly started to worry behind the scenes about the midterms, hoping that people will forget President Donald Trump's first year in office before they head to the polls.

A new Zeteo report described how even pro-Trump pollsters are concerned about November and how the GOP candidates will fare.

"When the cameras are on, senior members of the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s administration are well-trained to say that conservatives predicting a 'bloodbath' in the 2026 midterms are hysterical bed-wetters and doomsayers, underestimating the raw power of Trump’s draw among the American electorate," according to Zeteo. "Behind closed doors, those same senior members of the party are often the ones doing the heavy bed-wetting."...
