QAnon believers have turned on President Donald Trump, and despite an attempt from the White House to win them back, it has backfired among the president's former allies, an analyst reported on Thursday.

Will Sommer, senior reporter at The Bulwark, described how the Trump administration dropped a "bizarre QAnon-themed social media campaign" this week. In posts on X, the White House used slogans associated with QAnon, including “trust the plan” with a mock Q design to try to promote Trump executive orders and references to "quantum computing."

"There are several reasons why QAnon believers are turning on Trump," Sommer wrote. "But the main thrust boils down to this: After trying to block the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and failing to deliver deep-state arrests, some of the movement’s dissatisfied stars think it’s a bit gauche, if not insulting, that the president and his team are appropriating QAnon culture."...

A former top political aide is suing a MAGA influencer and former QAnon organizer after "catfishing" him on a dating app, according to reporting by Politico.

Steven Crowder, a popular right-wing personality, and Alysia Gamble, a former QAnon organizer, were hit with a lawsuit after allegedly deceiving a political aide into a secretly recorded undercover video, Politico reported.

Rob Field, a former top aide for Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, met Gamble through the dating app Bumble. According to Politico, she used the name Leah Andrews to charm Field with talks of peanut butter and football so that she could record their calls and dates. ...

Dan Scavino, one of Donald Trump's most senior social media aides, sent QAnon followers into a frenzy late Sunday night with a five-word social media post that ignited hours of conspiratorial speculation, Dark Knight Rises references, and ideas about numerology before sunrise.

At 2:03 a.m. Eastern Time, Scavino posted simply: "Every journey has an end," in quotation marks.

On Jan. 6, 2021, author and ethnographer Noelle Cook drove to Washington, D.C. On Capitol Hill, she was shocked to come upon a scene of people smashed against the walls of Congress and emergency responders taking away the body of Ashli Babbitt, the Air Force veteran who was shot dead by police as she attempted to crawl through a broken window and into the Speaker’s Lobby, outside the House chamber.

Cook had not shown up to take part in the “Stop the Steal” rally, which ended in the storming of the U.S. Capitol by rioters who believed Donald Trump’s lie that Joe Biden stole the 2020 election.

As a researcher and amateur photographer, Cook thought the rally might inspire a project. ...

Long before “crunchy” moms championed the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Erica Roach found a Facebook group of women who homeschooled their kids and embraced wellness.

As some moms today who seek more natural lifestyles for their families are also anti-vaccine, so were some of Roach’s Facebook friends.

By the time her fourth child was born, Roach said, she was “pretty anti-vax,” declining vaccines in her baby’s first year after initial shots at the hospital. ...

A reporter from the Pillow Guy Mike Lindell's streaming network "Lindell TV" asked a question about the 2020 election during Friday's press conference with the White House press corps, sending social media into a tailspin.

The reporter asked, "Is there anymore information on the special prosecutor? So many Americans still have questions about the 2020 election. And speaking of rogue judges, would you consider appointing somebody at DOJ maybe to investigate the judges that allowed for the political persecution of you, your family, and your supporters during the Biden administration?"

"I love you," Trump exclaimed. "Who are you?"...
