In the first episode of his Bulwark podcast, former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele spoke with ex-Republican Rick Wilson, co-founder of The Lincoln Project, about a possible life under Donald Trump as president.

"I want to send a message to our former Republican colleagues, who still think that they're immune," Wilson began. "When the day comes, Donald Trump will take his revenge on all of you who criticized him. All — anybody. Everyone who said a damn harsh word about him is going to be on the chopping block."

Donald Trump has an obsession with revenge, and a veteran Washington, D.C., journalist warned that's yet another reason his return to the White House would be an existential threat to American democracy.

The former president has given conflicting statements on whether he would seek retribution for his felony conviction in New York, but Mother Jones journalist David Corn said Trump has long made clear that he expects payback against anyone who slights him.

Dr. Phil McGraw, the former psychologist and Donald Trump fan, had a conversation with the ex-president which will air on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. on his own network, MRIT+. Among the things discussed in clips that are being leaked to the public is McGraw accusing Trump of being "addicted to revenge."

Trump promised McGraw it would be the highest-rated show he's ever had. McGraw is relegated to his own streaming service, where he has become much more political, hosting shows about economics under Joe Biden or Hamas, and using psychology to justify opinion.

Former Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor wrote a new book that sounds the alarm on how Donald Trump will weaponize the government against Americans if he wins in 2024. His examples are based on things he and others witnessed Trump explore during his first term.

In his book, "Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump," Taylor explains that among the people he worked with, many were miserable and frustrated, but thought they had to stay to protect the country from Trump's worst ideas.
