'Absurd': MAGA rep mocked for claiming people 'dumpster diving for ballots' in California

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) claimed on Monday that people in California were dumpster diving for ballots after Republicans saw a serious setback in the Los Angeles mayor race and votes continued six days after the primary.

The MAGA lawmaker made the unfounded fraud remarks during a Newsmax interview, commenting on the ongoing ballot count in California and responding to the GOP's frustration as former reality TV star and GOP candidate Los Angeles mayor candidate Spencer Pratt slipped out of the runoff race, placing third behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman.

"Some people can just dig through garbage cans, find ballots and send them in apparently forever after an election is over. It's not OK, it's got to come to an end and people need to go jail," Fine said. ...

Spencer Pratt buried in fact checks after pushing new election conspiracy theory

Spencer Pratt, the reality television personality running as a Republican candidate for Los Angeles mayor, posted a meme over the weekend suggesting that he couldn't understand how votes get counted in the city — and the internet was happy to explain it to him.

Pratt posted a photo of a man staring at a chalkboard covered in complex equations, captioning it: "Me trying to figure out how votes get counted in LA."

The replies were not sympathetic....

Ex-Trump insider delivers blunt diagnosis of what's gone wrong with American politics

A former Trump White House insider warned that voters should be cautious of the "rizz" of rising stars in the political scene right now.

Anthony Scaramucci, one of Trump's former White House communications directors, spoke to CNN's Kasie Hunt about what it takes to win big elections nowadays.

"Are we at a moment where being famous is the thing you have to have if you want to be in politics?" Hunt asked....

Reality TV candidate admits he blew $10M and will sell crystals again if not elected: TMZ

Spencer Pratt, former reality TV star turned Republican Los Angeles mayoral candidate, confirmed that he lost millions — and shared his reason why, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

Pratt was a guest on the "No Jumper" podcast on Monday when he defended his goals to be famous and how he lost $10 million in his 20s, at the height of his reality television career. The former star of "The Hills" and MAGA-friendly candidate has challenged incumbent Mayor Karen Bass for the top city job, arguing that Bass has misused taxpayer funding and describing what led him to lose part of his own fortune amid criticism over his spending, according to TMZ.

"I had great dinners, I treated a lot of friends," Pratt said....

Ex-reality TV candidate says he's 'unlike Trump' in a major way

Former reality TV star and current Los Angeles mayor candidate Spencer Pratt described why he might share some ideas in common with President Donald Trump — but there is one big difference between the two, according to an exclusive Vanity Fair interview published on Wednesday.

Pratt told Vanity Fair that although both he and Trump share a reality TV history, the two don't have the same stances when it comes to ICE and immigration. The candidate, who has argued that he is a Republican, has been criticized for lacking political or governing experience but has received some praise from Trump. And despite his appeal among Trump's MAGA base with some of his talking points around crime and homelessness, he does not identify as MAGA.

"One of the concrete policy proposals that’s come out of Pratt's campaign is a plan to build a giant treatment facility on federal lands on the outskirts of town," Vanity Fair reported. "The facility is where he says he’ll put thousands of people suffering with substance disorders who are currently living on the street. And with the help of experienced developers, Pratt says it’ll go up with unprecedented speed—a campaign promise that sounds like President Trump’s pledge to construct a border wall with Mexico in 2016 and have Mexico pay for it (the roughly $46 billion wall project, paid for by US taxpayers, has faced repeated delays)."...

Real Housewives star rejects MAGA-friendly reality TV candidate: 'We've already done that'

Reality TV legend and former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member Lisa Rinna doesn't think that former reality TV star Spencer Pratt should be the next Los Angeles mayor, The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday.

Rinna was attending the American Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and told Variety she has doubts about a fellow reality star taking on a government position — taking a dig at another former reality TV star turned politician — current President Donald Trump. Trump was formerly the host of NBC's reality show "The Apprentice."

Variety asked Rinna who she planned to vote for in the upcoming election. ...
