President Donald Trump's camp threatened his alma mater in 2016 to bury his deepest insecurity, according to biographer Michael Wolff.

Wolff made the claim that Trump has been trying to hide his academic records in a Saturday episode of "Inside Trump's Head," which he co-hosts with Joanna Coles. The episode was built around the fears he believes drive the president. Topping the list was being seen as unintelligent.

Wolff recalled a conversation with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon about what Russian President Vladimir Putin might have on Trump. Bannon waved off the rumored tapes and the president's finances, Wolff said, before settling on Trump's school records....

President Donald Trump's top economic official casually told MAGA strategist Steve Bannon on Tuesday that he's not concerned about the deficit or debt.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was talking to the former White House strategist during an episode of "War Room" on the conservative network Real America's Voice when they discussed the multi-trillion-dollar debt and deficits facing the Trump administration. Bessent tried to argue that the Trump administration hasn't received enough credit for its efforts, and blamed the Biden administration for not investing enough in the military.

"I'm not that bothered — or I'm not as bothered by it — because one of the reasons we're not making progress on the deficit is the full expensing for equipment, factories and [agriculture] structures that is creating more productive capacity, so I call it — you're pulling back the rubber band and creating this productive capacity that's going to give us more sustainable tax revenues in the future."...

Law firms that cut deals with Trump to stop executive orders are now fighting a secret courtroom battle, the New York Times reported.

According to the Times, the Justice Department has issued subpoenas to 13 elite law firms, including nine that struck deals with Trump early in his second term to fend off "crippling" executive orders. Four of the subpoenaed firms challenged those orders in court, the Times reported.

The nine firms that cut deals with Trump "have largely continued to generate vast profits and the White House has appeared to leave them alone," the Times wrote. Those deals included agreements to pledge nearly a billion dollars in free legal work to causes supported by Trump to head off executive orders that would have crippled these firms, according to the Times....

A CNN anchor was shocked by a montage of Republican outrage over the Supreme Court rebuffing their immigration demands.

Kasie Hunt opened her Tuesday episode of The Arena with a segment about the Supreme Court's 6-3 vote to block Trump from unilaterally ending birthright citizenship. The segment featured a clip with GOP reactions to the "stinging loss," as Hunt described it.
