The White House attempted to explain away a huge bruise on President Donald Trump's hand that aides tried to cover up with thick makeup.

According to The Daily Beast, "Trump, 79, was spotted with a healthy dose of flesh-colored concealer on his right hand as he was photographed boarding Marine One at the White House on his way to Pittsburgh. Trump was speaking to reporters ahead of the trip on the issue of Russian President Vladimir Putin when a camera spotted the hand and zoomed in."

When asked about the obvious bruise on Tuesday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt answered, “President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.” ...

Critics were quick to jump on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-nominating President Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize after a Ukrainian official withdrew his recommendation, and Pakistani officials considered doing the same following the president's bombing of Iran.

Netanyahu "surprised" Trump with the nomination at a White House dinner on Monday.

The White House posted the moment to social media, recounting Netanyahu's words: "President Trump is 'forging peace as we speak, in one country and one region after the other. So, I want to present to you, Mr. President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize committee. It's nominating you for the peace prize, which is well-deserved.'"...

The New York Times is standing by its reporting that Elon Musk's drug use "was more intense than previously known" when he started to wield influence over Donald Trump's presidential campaign and possibly beyond.

In a post to X on Tuesday afternoon, the newspaper's communications account wrote, "Elon Musk is continuing to lash out because he doesn't like our reporting. Nothing that he's said or presented since our article about his drug use during the presidential campaign was published contradicts what we uncovered. We stand by our journalism."

The post was in response to Musk's screenshot of a "Laboratory Final Report" conducted by "United States Drug Testing" on samples the post states were collected June 11 showed "negative" results for drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, opiates, and cannabinoids. Musk posted "lol" along with the screenshot....

The White House is expected to withdraw Dr. Janette Nesheiwat's nomination for U.S. Surgeon General following complaints from far-right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, according to a new ABC News report.

Loomer posted to X on Wednesday, "Hearing reports that @DoctorJanette Dr. Janette Nesheiwat’s nomination for US Surgeon General has been pulled by President Trump. Her Senate confirmation hearing was set to take place tomorrow."

Loomer linked to her own "exclusive investigation" into Nesheiwat, calling her "unfit" to serve as Surgeon General due to "medical malpractice, promotion of DEI-focused initiatives implemented through City M.D., and her advocacy for the China Virus 'vaccine.'"...
