Stephen Miller privately fears ‘prison cell’ awaits him despite Trump pardons: reports

Stephen Miller has privately voiced a fear that pardon power won't be enough to protect him once President Donald Trump leaves office.

A new Zeteo profile of the White House deputy chief of staff, highlighted Wednesday by emptywheel's Marcy Wheeler, reported that Miller has told people he believes local and state prosecutors are out to put him in a "prison cell." As Zeteo pointed out, a federal pardon doesn't shut down state or local prosecutions the way it would a federal case.

Miller's worries reportedly go beyond criminal charges. According to Zeteo, he has also talked about civil lawsuits and congressional investigations, and he has expressed concern that a future Democratic administration could look for creative ways around Trump's clemency. He has also complained that the left will use "lawfare" to drain him and his wife, podcaster and former Trump official Katie Miller, financially for years to come....

Outrage as DOJ caught scrubbing Trump pardons from website — and blames 'technical issue'

The Department of Justice's website took down a list of President Donald Trump's pardons, only to partially return it after online outcry.

On Tuesday, Democratic political strategist and CNN commentator Xochitl Hinojosa flagged the sudden change in a post on X, noting that "all Trump pardons have been scrubbed" from the DOJ website.

"They're gone....," confirmed MeidasTouch Capitol Hill journalist Scott MacFarlane in a quote post reacting to Hinojosa....

Hilarity as ex-DOJ attorney delves into Trump's secret Mar-a-Lago bathroom stash

A former Justice Department pardon attorney believes President Donald Trump "very likely" has a secret stash in his Mar-a-Lago bathroom.

DOJ whistleblower Liz Oyer made this claim during a Saturday episode of "The Jim Acosta Show" during which she suggested Trump has quietly prepared clemency for people around him in case he suddenly leaves office.

"It is a near certainty that he will pardon broadly his cabinet members, his family members, those advisers who are in good graces with him by the end of the administration," Oyer said. "And I think it's very likely that he has already signed off on some of those pardons just in case something should happen to him before he gets to the end."...

Rapper's leaked texts lay bare his $600k Trump pardon that never came: report

Rapper Boosie Badazz is publishing the text messages behind his failed six-figure bid to secure a pardon from President Donald Trump.

According to a Tuesday article by TMZ, the Baton Rouge artist posted screenshots to his X account of messages that offered a rare window into how self-styled pardon brokers pitch access to the president and what happens when the promised clemency never arrives.

According to TMZ, the texts appear to be exchanges between Boosie and Jack Burkman, one of the two political operatives the rapper says he paid $600,000 to work his case. The conversations reportedly ran from November 2025 through February 2026, with Burkman assuring the rapper his team was pushing the request forward....

'Scammers being scammed': High-rollers seeking Trump pardon met with brutal surprise

Wealthy criminals seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump are running into a brutal surprise, according to the New York Post.

Not only have convicted criminals with deep pockets been confronted with "staggering" seven-figure prices for a bid at a Trump pardon, but some of them aren't even being pardoned despite paying up, the Post reported Saturday.

"The majority of the people paying big bucks are not getting what they want," Mark Osler, a law professor at the University of St. Thomas, told the Post. "A lot of them are scammers being scammed."...

DOJ whistleblower torches 'staggering' Trump move that gave fraudster a 'second chance'

A Justice department whistleblower on Saturday tore into President Donald Trump for what she described as a "staggering" decision to give a fraudster a "second chance."

During an episode of The Lincoln Project Podcast, former DOJ pardon attorney Liz Oyer argued that Trump's pardons were "fundamentally different" from others made in the past.

"He has pardoned quite a few individuals who committed fraud involving government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid," Oyer said. "He's also pardoned all manner of white collar frauds, including those that involve stealing money from investors."...
