An Olympian's face as she stood behind President Donald Trump at a White House reception has captured the internet's hearts and minds.

Olympic athletes, freestyle skier gold and bronze medalist Elizabeth Lemley was caught in an eye-grabbing picture by Reuters photographer Evelyn Hockstein, who documented the Winter Olympians and Paralympians' reception Thursday.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) melted down and threatened Olympians after several athletes representing the United States openly criticized President Donald Trump's administration and the current state of America.

Scott delivered a curt response to the Olympic athletes currently competing at the Milan Cortina Winter Games voicing their concerns about their home country in a video message on X posted Sunday night, The Daily Beast reported. It's unclear which athlete or comment prompted his reaction.

"Representing the United States—a beacon for freedom and democracy—at the Olympics is an honor. Anyone who feels otherwise should be stripped of their USA Olympic uniform," Scott said....

Racy emails between Casey Wasserman, the LA 2028 Olympics committee chair and CEO of talent agency Wasserman Media Group, with Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell have put him in hot water with a popular artist he represents.

Bethany Cosentino, the frontwoman of rock band Best Coast, has released a statement demanding Wasserman step down and that the agency changes its name, Pitchfork reported. She has asked the agency remove her name and the band's name in the meantime. The agency has represented Cosentino and her band since 2021.

“Ghislaine Maxwell is not a neutral character in a messy story—she is a convicted sex trafficker who helped facilitate the abuse of minors,” Cosentino wrote. “I did not consent to having my name or my career tied to someone with this kind of association to exploitation.”...

Italians were angry Tuesday after news that the US was sending ICE agents to the Winter Olympics in Italy.

The announcement reportedly set off confusion after the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the unit was heading to Europe to apparently work as "a security role" for the US delegation at the international event, a DHS spokesperson confirmed with CNN.

“They don’t do immigration enforcement (operations) in a foreign country obviously,” the spokesperson said....
