A press aide for President Joe Biden reportedly went on a sexist tirade against a female reporter who was writing a story about his relationship with Axios political reporter Alexi McCammond.

Vanity Fair reports that White House deputy press secretary TJ Ducklo grew furious after he learned that Politico reporter Tara Palmeri was working on the story, and he called her directly to try to intimidate her out of reporting it.

"During the off-the-record call, Ducklo made derogatory and misogynistic comments, accusing Palmeri of only reporting on his relationship... because she was 'jealous' that an unidentified man in the past had 'wanted to f*ck' McCammond 'and not you,'" Vanity Fair reports. "Ducklo also accused Palmeri of being 'jealous' of his relationship with McCammond."

The Biden press aide also threatened to "destroy" Palmeri if she published the story.

Ducklo subsequently apologized to Palmeri for losing his temper but, reports Vanity Fair, "did not delve into any specifics or apologize for threatening and sexually harassing the reporter."
