MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace read a series of promises previously made by former President Donald Trump as he swore that he would pass a major bill to rebuild America's infrastructure.

Although he worked on it for at least two years, he could not get the job done -- and Wallace was quick to point out his failures.

"I am not going to play it because I don't want to hear him today," Wallace said of Trump's quotes. "But Donald Trump over and over, 'We are going to fix our inner cities, airports, tunnels, high schools,' 'We are going to rebuild our infrastructure.' Months later, 'Infrastructure! We are going to start spending on infrastructure! Bigly!' 'We have the plan largely completed.' 'We will be filing it.' He thought you filed your structure bill. It is not how a bill becomes a law at all. But this administration achieved something that the last administration talked about for four long years."

"With interest rates for the United States being at ZERO, this is the time to do our decades long awaited Infrastructure Bill," Trump Tweeted March 31, 2020 just as the pandemic was beginning to grow.

"It should be VERY BIG & BOLD, Two Trillion Dollars, and be focused solely on jobs and rebuilding the once great infrastructure of our Country!" Trump said.

Yet, despite Trump's efforts, the bill never happened and the idea of Trump's "Infrastructure Week" became a joke.
