'Burn book' alarms Trump insiders as scorned Guilfoyle heads home 'with nothing to lose'

'Burn book' alarms Trump insiders as scorned Guilfoyle heads home 'with nothing to lose'

Former U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly has a “burn book” containing damaging information about President Donald Trump and his family, and administration insiders are fearing the worst, according to the Daily Mail.

White House press secretary Katie Zacharia announced on Tuesday that Guilfoyle had been asked to resign. “We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign,” Zacharia said at a briefing. “She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.”

The move followed a series of Wall Street Journal reports, including that Guilfoyle asked a Trump donor to wire her $100,000 to cover a credit card bill before her confirmation hearing. Her lawyers have denied wrongdoing and said the money was payment for unpaid speaking engagements that predated her nomination....

Famed director drops blunt warning about 'firewall' House seat: 'Accountability dies'

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, who has spent decades chronicling the American story, says the country has reached another turning point. He believes one House seat in New Hampshire could decide where it goes.

In a fundraising email sent Tuesday night for Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-N.H.), Burns told supporters that Democrats’ chances of winning back the House depend on holding her district.

“If Republicans succeed in unseating Maggie from NH-2, retaking the House becomes virtually impossible — and any chance of accountability dies with it,” Burns wrote....

Fury as Trump accused of sabotaging Ukrainian military with jaw-dropping move: reports

Outrage poured in Wednesday after Elon Musk’s SpaceX abruptly limited Starlink services in Ukraine, jeopardizing Ukrainian combat drone missions without warning, while critics suspected President Donald Trump may have been behind the mysterious move.

Serhiy Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine’s defense minister, said Ukrainian defense forces “did not receive a warning” about the abrupt limitation to Starlink services, which have helped guide their longer-range drone strikes, Reuters reported. Furthermore, he suspected the disruption was connected to Trump’s ongoing spat with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which has flared up in recent days.

Trump has increasingly pressed Zelenskyy to give up territory to Russia as part of an agreement to end the Russo-Ukraine war. Zelenskyy has responded with defiance, drawing a threat from Trump to cut Ukraine off from U.S. intelligence. Trump has also demanded that both Ukraine and Russia halt attacks on energy infrastructure, a demand that has repeatedly gone ignored by both parties....

Trump admin accused of 'hiding stuff' by delaying annual report before midterms

Trump admin accused of 'hiding stuff' by delaying annual report before midterms

The Trump administration is once again delaying the release of detailed IRS data showing how Republicans’ 2025 tax cuts affected millions of Americans’ taxes, even as it tries to sell voters on the law ahead of the midterm elections, according to Politico.

The numbers document which tax breaks were claimed by people in different income brackets, as well as how much they paid in taxes. The IRS typically releases the data after each filing season, but this year’s release is more anticipated because it is expected to give the first detailed look at how taxpayers are using the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, including its new deductions for overtime wages and tipped income.

The data was "scheduled for release in July and updated again in September," but the agency hasn’t published either, Politico reported. The IRS said it is awaiting approval from the Treasury Department under Secretary Scott Bessent to publish the figures....

'Mentally unwell' Trump concerns onlookers with 'demented' late-night posting spree

Over the span of roughly three hours, President Donald Trump posted two dozen videos — and one rant about Greenland — on social media Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, a late-night barrage that left onlookers questioning the president’s mental state.

The first of the two dozen videos Trump posted online was an AI-generated clip of himself chasing, tackling and then warmly embracing a tiger, a likely reference to the recent death of 23-year-old William Chapman, a British man who was killed by a tiger during an incident at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Saturday and who, according to his family, struggled with “significant mental illness.”

“Trump posted this video to his Truth Social, just days after a man was mauled to death by a tiger at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park,” wrote Patricia Eguino, a former commissioner in Washington, D.C., and political activist, in a social media post on X. “His brain is cooked.”...

JD Vance's 'David Bowie eyeliner' dredged up on MS NOW after attempted Talarico smear

JD Vance’s attack on Texas Senate candidate James Talarico by implying he is gay came back to haunt the vice president on MS NOW, which revived stories that Vance has repeatedly been accused of wearing eyeliner during his public appearances.

Speaking to supporters at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, a fan yelled “I love you,” at Vance which led the vice president to retort, “I love you too, sir. In a totally platonic way, to be clear. I’m the vice president, not James Talarico,” and then smirking.

Referring to a clip of the comments, co-host Joe Scarborough chimed in with, “We will now go to a campaign rally in Texas where projection was on full display by a man wearing David Bowie's eyeliner. Go ahead.”...

‘People are going to jail’: Trump admin put on notice if DOJ secretly leaned on MAGA judge

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) suggested over the weekend that a Trump administration official may have quietly contacted a federal appeals judge to stall a contempt inquiry, and the legal analyst interviewing him declared that if so, “people are going to jail.”

In a clip flagged by political video aggregator Acyn Torabi from the Legal AF podcast, Whitehouse laid out a hypothetical involving D.C. Circuit Judge Neomi Rao, a Trump appointee.

“If some MAGA official communicated to Judge Rao or her chambers and that resulted in the administrative stay that held the door open and kept the facts from the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation and stalled investigation into misconduct by the DOJ,” Whitehouse began, “ask any judge how big a deal that is.”...

'Devastating': Glee erupts as Susan Collins' 'road salt' boast blows up in her face

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) bragged about a road salt win at a Maine Senate debate, and her challenger's comeback had observers cheering.

On Tuesday, Collins faced Democratic challenger Troy Jackson in a debate weeks before the midterms. Asked what she would do about President Donald Trump's tariffs on Canada, Collins pointed to a specific victory.

"I was successful at getting road salt removed from the tariff list," Collins said. Jackson responded by pouncing on the answer....

Trump fact-checked to his face by guest during rally: 'I don't think so, Mr. President'

Trump fact-checked to his face by guest during rally: 'I don't think so, Mr. President'

Former MLB superstar Roger Clemens fact-checked President Donald Trump during his Texas rally Wednesday night.

Trump traveled to San Antonio, Texas, to stump for Republicans like Tano Tijerina in his race against Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), whom Trump attacked for what he considered to be a "disloyal act" by not becoming a Republican after Trump pardoned him. At the rally, Trump invited Clemens on stage to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor, because Clemens had not yet been elected to the Hall of Fame.

In typical Trump fashion, the president also rattled off a fact about Clemens that the former big league pitcher was quick to correct. ...
