Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) hinted on Thursday that more whistleblowers may speak out against President Donald Trump's pick for an appellate judgeship.

Booker joined MSNBC's "The Briefing with Jen Psaki" to discuss Emil Bove's chances of being confirmed for the judicial post. Bove has been accused of lying under oath during his latest confirmation hearing about whether he told lawyers at the Department of Justice to disobey court orders. Bove is also Trump's former criminal defense attorney.

The internet collectively groaned Thursday night as President Donald Trump announced his plan to slap a 35% tariff on products from Canada.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform a copy of a letter addressed to Prime Minister Mark Carney, writing that it was a "Great Honor" for him to send the letter, because it "demonstrates the strength and commitment of our Trading Relationship, and the fact that the United States of America has agreed to continue working with Canada, despite Canada having financially retaliated against the United States."

President Donald Trump is mulling yet another wave of across-the-board tariffs, NBC News exclusively reported Thursday.

"'We’re just going to say all of the remaining countries are going to pay, whether it’s 20% or 15%. We’ll work that out now,' Trump told NBC News’ 'Meet the Press' moderator Kristen Welker in a phone call. Blanket tariffs are currently set at 10%," said the report. 'Irreparable harm': Judge blasts Trump admin in newly released opinion

President Donald Trump's administration was handed another loss Thursday in its bid to end birthright citizenship.

Judge Joseph Laplante of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire issued a preliminary injunction blocking the executive order Trump signed in February that attempted to end birthright citizenship altogether. The court also certified a protected class of people to whom the order applies. That class consists of newborns born on or after Feb. 20, 2025, to parents who are in the United States either illegally or temporarily.
