Speaking with "Way Too Early" host Jonathan Lemire on "Morning Joe," Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) laughed off the ex-president's claim he can win the state he lost in 2020 when he only garnered 45 percent of the vote.

Trump’s 'radical' tariff proposals fail 'basic math': libertarian economist

Prominent liberal economists, from Robert Reich to New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, have been vehemently critical of presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's tariff proposals. Trump is claiming that tariffs could be used to eliminate the United States' federal income tax, and Reich and Krugman are among the many economists who have been warning that if his proposals were implemented, they would, in effect, amount to a massive tax hike for low-income Americans.

But not all of the criticism is coming from the left.

'How'd it go for you?' MSNBC's Mika mocks GOP lawmaker's faceplant on Biden joke

A Wisconsin Republican's attempt to make a simple joke about President Joe Biden's age went as badly as possible at a Donald Trump rally in Racine on Tuesday and MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Mike Brzezinski pounced on it.

Speaking before the MAGA crowd, it didn't take long for Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) to realize he substituted Trump's name for Biden's as the crowd remained silent, possibly out of confusion.

"It's hard to believe. Donald Trump was first elected to the United States Senate when I was negative 8 years old — that's true," he told the crowd before his goof dawned on him and he quickly added, "President Biden was elected when I was negative 8 years old."

He then added an abashed, "I'm going to get myself in trouble."

Jack Smith poised for 'victory' if Supreme Court hands immunity case back to Judge Chutkan

In a segment on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Thursday morning about the Supreme Court's highly anticipated ruling on Donald Trump's bid for absolute criminal immunity, one prosecutor predicted the nation's highest court will punt it back to U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Tanya Chutkan.

Having said that, State Attorney for Palm Beach County Dave Aronberg claimed that could turn into a big win for special counsel Jack Smith.

Speaking with "Morning Joe" co-hosts, Aronberg agreed that there was no reason for the Supreme Court to drag its feet on that ruling that should be fairly obvious were it not for the conservative bent of the court.

Asked, "What's the holdup?" he detailed where the court is at the moment.
