'Trump is a psycho': Conservative George Conway breaks down how GOP is eating itself

Former President Donald Trump is hollowing out the Republican coalition as candidates in his image sign up to represent the GOP all over the country, warned conservative attorney George Conway on MSNBC Wednesday — and it is going to have disastrous consequences for the party.

GOP Montana governor smacked down in court for illegally trying to strongarm lawmakers

A state court in Montana has rebuked Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte for an illegal tactic to block the legislature from overriding his veto.

"Judge Mike Menahan’s ruling on March 5 does not guarantee that lawmakers will be able to override Gianforte’s veto of Senate Bill 442, legislation that allocated tax revenues from marijuana sales to conservation, veterans and county infrastructure programs," wrote Arren Kimbel-Sannit for the Montana Free Press. "But it does start a 14-day clock for the governor and the Montana secretary of state to initiate a vote to override the veto, appeal the district court’s ruling to the Montana Supreme Court or both."

Trump's biggest general election 'weakness' was exposed by GOP primary: analysis

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley failed to seriously challenge former President Donald Trump for the 2024 nomination — but she didn't have to, argued Lisa Kashinsky and Jessica Piper for Politico, because she damaged the former president in another way.

"The former U.N. ambassador beat Trump in Vermont and Washington, D.C., and won more than 40 percent of the vote in New Hampshire and Utah. And though Haley’s appeal to Republicans in those places hardly dented Trump in the primary, the results suggest very specific vulnerabilities for the former president in the run-up to the general election." Biden, they wrote, can now exploit this "weakness" in the places that Haley revealed it.

Trump is running again to prove he isn't a loser: former aide

Sarah Matthews, a one-time aide to Donald Trump, believes the former president's 2024 campaign is nothing more than a desperate attempt to save face.

Trump-supporting Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake has lost her bid to stop a defamation suit against her brought by Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer — and that spells a huge problem for her, wrote KTAR talk radio host and legal analyst Barry Markson on social media Wednesday.

Lake has repeatedly claimed that Richer, a fellow Republican, was part of a conspiracy to rig the 2022 gubernatorial election against her, for which she has never provided definitive evidence. Richer has been a frequent target of hate and threats by Trump supporters ever since President Joe Biden defeated the former president in Arizona.
