Keith Olbermann may be returning to ESPN
Keith Olbermann, a sports pundit turned political pundit turned somewhere in the middle, will co-host ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption this week. This continues the former full-time ESPN employees sporadic return to the company.
The New York Post reported that Olbermann will appear on PTI this week.
Having first worked at ESPN during the 1990s, hosting the 11 p.m. ET SportsCenter alongside Dan Patrick, the polarizing Olbermann left the company in 1997.
Of note, former SportCenter pal Dan Patrick has recently admitted that he had talks about doing some work with ESPN himself.
Olbermann returned to ESPN in 2013 as host of his own talk show on ESPN2. In July 2015, ESPN announced it was cancelling the show. Since then, he has been a bit all over the place, mostly using the Internet to get off his political and sports takes.
For whatever it is worth, if you want to check him out co-hosting Pardon The Interruption, he will apparently be doing that on Thursday and Friday. He will fill in for Michael Wilbon.
