TMZ and the DailyMail are both reporting that a woman has been arrested after approaching White House security telling them she had "a letter for President Joe Biden." In her car, however, she had a gun.

The 66-year-old woman was arrested Saturday around 5:30 p.m. on the east side of the White House, near the Old Ebbitt Grill on 15th Street NW.

The woman had a loaded gun and a man was also in the car with a BB gun. She was arrested on possession of an unregistered firearm, reported WRC-TV's Scott MacFarlane.

"According to the police, the suspect and one other person armed with a BB gun approached a checkpoint near the White House complex just past the western-most crosswalk of 15th Street at Pennsylvania Avenue NW," said the DailyMail.

TMZ said that the woman said she wanted to deliver a letter to Biden.
