Michael Moore responds to ‘hypocrisy’ criticism for supporting ‘Occupy’ protests

Published

on

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore responded Thursday to accusations from conservative critics that he was a hypocrite for supporting the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstrations.

His critics claimed that he got “rich because of capitalism” and thus should not be protesting against inequalities in the economic system of the United States.

Moore told Current TV host Keith Olbermann that the argument was analogous to saying that he shouldn’t support same sex marriage because he never had sex with another man.

“I think what they are really worried about is that you or I, with money, are dangerous people because we can’t be bought,” he said.

Moore added that he was taught growing up that God would judge him based on how he treated the least well off.

“If you do have good fortune smile upon you, you have to do even more,” he explained. “So you have a greater responsibility to support those who are have-nots.”

President Donald Trump introduced a long-deceased sibling moments after officially announcing his re-election bid during a campaign rally in Orlando, Florida.

"And I am profoundly thankful to my family, I have a great family. Melania, Don, Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, baron, Lara, Jared, Robert, Marianne, Elizabeth and my late brother, Fred, Jr." Trump said.

Fred, Jr. was Trump's older brother and died of a heart attack almost four decades ago, passing in 1981.

"In a telephone interview last week, Mr. Trump said he had learned by watching his brother how bad choices could drag down even those who seemed destined to rise," The New York Times reported in 2016. Seeing his brother suffering led him to avoid ever trying alcohol or cigarettes, he said."

Trump un-ironically worries a presidential candidate who refuses to concede and then shreds the constitution

Published

President Donald Trump officially kicked off his re-election campaign at a campaign rally in Orlando, Florida -- the 60th campaign rally of his presidency.

During the speech, Trump offered a good deal of projection as he made baseless accusations against Democrats -- on the same exact topics where he has been credibly accused.

"This election is a verdict on whether we want to live in a country where the people will lose an election, refused to concede to spend the next two years trying to shred our Constitution and rip your country apart," Trump argued.

‘We have been under siege’: Trump falsely claims he has been ‘violently’ attacked by his critics

Published

President Donald Trump claimed to be the victim of "violence" during his official campaign kickoff in Orlando, Florida.

"Many times I said we would drain the swamp and that’s exactly what we are doing right now. We are draining the swamp," Trump claimed, despite having the most scandal-plagued administration in American history.

"And that is why the swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently," Trump argued.

"For the last two and a half years we have been under siege and with the Mueller report we want and now they want a do-over. They want a do-over," he repeated.
