In this clip from Wednesday's Rachel Maddow Show, Rachel plays back video from the House floor of Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) criticizing the GOP for holding meaningless votes when the U.S. economy is in a state of emergency. Maddow then played a clip of the president making the same observation and went on to discuss the fact that the Democratic caucus is looking significantly less splintered lately, both on jobs and on the proliferation of laws across the country designed to make it harder for poor people and minorities to vote.

She hails these developments as signs of a stiffening resolve among Democrats as they lose patience with Republican obstructionism and the ongoing kabuki show that is business-as-usual in Washington.
