Oklahoma inmate caught ‘keistering’ loaded gun into jail

Published

on

An Oklahoma inmate got caught shooting his mouth off over the gun he smuggled into jail via his rectum, forcing him into both a hospital stay and an extended stay behind bars.

KFOR-TV reported that authorities at the Oklahoma County jail were tipped off after Mark Gregory Valadez bragged to other prisoners about smuggling a Derringer pistol into the facility, a practice reportedly known as “keistering.”

Valadez managed to avoid going through a metal detector while being booked on Sunday morning on lesser charges, and Sheriff John Whetsel told KFOR a pat-down would not be able to detect it. The weapon reportedly contained one bullet in its chamber when it was discovered.

The suspect’s charges were upgraded to a felony count of possession of contraband in a penal institution. The Smoking Gun reported he is being held on $5,000 bond, and also had to be hospitalized.

Watch KFOR’s report on Valadez’s contraband, aired Tuesday, below.

Fox News’ John Roberts tells Trump to his face: ‘White nationalists are finding common cause with you’

Published

Fox News reporter John Roberts asked President Donald Trump to his face whether he cared that white nationalists agreed with his views on race.

The president provoked widespread outrage by calling on four Democratic congresswomen -- all women of color -- to leave the country because they disagreed with his policies, and Trump insisted his tweets were not racist while continuing to lob bigoted attacks at them.

"Mr. President," Roberts asked during an impromptu Monday news conference, "does it concern you that many people saw that tweet as racist, and that white nationalist groups are finding common cause with you on that point?"

On Monday, President Donald Trump doubled down on racist comments deriding Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Trump repeated comments that if they're not happy with America, they should leave. Both woman are U.S. citizens.

“They’re very unhappy. I’m watching them. All they do is complain. So all I’m saying is, if they want to leave, they can leave,” Trump said.

He also wrongly claimed that Omar had made comments praising Al-Qaeda and he stated, wrongly, that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is racist.

A reporter asked Trump about Pelosi’s comment, in which she said Trump wanted to “make America white again. “

Meghan McCain complains that Trump’s racist jabs make her job harder: ‘It’s humiliating for me to be on TV’

Meghan McCain hammered her fellow Republicans for staying silent about President Donald Trump's latest racist attack -- and complained that his slurs made her job harder.

"The View" co-host condemned Trump's attack on four Democratic congresswomen that she has frequently criticized, and she was deeply disappointed to see Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) defend the president.

"It's deeply xenophobic and racist on a lot of different levels," McCain said. "My sister was not born in this country, okay? My sister wasn't born here, she's as American in every way as I am and everybody else. She also has been subjected to many racist political campaigns, which by the way, Lindsey Graham, you were present for. I remember seeing you there when it happened, so seeing that on 'Fox & Friends' was particularly, particularly hurtful."
