Police in Wichita, Kansas are investigating after a 4-year-old girl reportedly fired a Taser and hit her younger sister in the head.
Wichita Police Public Information Officer Lt. Dan East told reporters on Wednesday that one of the Taser's probes had lodged in the 2-year-old girl's forehead and shocked her at around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
KAKE's Deb Farris reported that the victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center. Her condition was not released to the public.
East described the shooting as an accident, and said an adult was in the home at the time.
He also noted that parents should make sure Tasers are stored safely, even though they are not considered handguns.
Police were continuing to review the case.
