An amiable discussion between MSNBC host Ali Velshi and former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) on the proposed budget deal went off the rails on Sunday morning after the two began arguing over whether wealthy Americans should pay more in taxes.

After the former GOP governor complained that Wall Street bankers are being taxed at 40 percent on their bonuses and then stated that is one of the reasons Americans are moving to low-tax states like Texas and Florida, host Velshi pointed out his two examples are "terrible" places to live.

That was when the interview went downhill as the two talked over each other and Kasich repeatedly snapped, "Can I finish?"

During one exchange, Kasich blurted, "Let me finish! You said, they are horrible places to live, I don't agree with that. This all came about because you said, why are we not raising taxes on corporations and on people? And I am saying to you when you raise taxes too high, you discourage people from doing what they want to do."

'A lot of times they will leave to go to a place, where they get a better reward for their hard work," he continued. "Now some corporations are able to take advantage of things like depreciation that allows them to invest more. Look, the fact is we have this thing called modern monetary theory; this is another theory. Now, we have had sky-high inflation because these policies don't work."

"Modern monetary theory is not the reason we have inflation," Velshi shot back as the two once again talked over each other with an exasperated Kasich once complaining, "You don't want to have a discussion."

Longtime conservative gadfly Ann Coulter was buried by the panel on MSNBC's "The Sunday Show" for her latest racist comments, with one panelist suggesting she is long past being even vaguely interesting and should be ignored.

Host Jonathan Capehart kicked off the discussion by reading Coulter's sneering comment about a boycott of Florida by Black Americans.

On Twitter, Coulter wrote, "NAACP issues warning to African Americans to avoid visiting Florida; employees in restaurant and tourism industry brace for 0.00% drop in tips.”

"Oh, Jesus, take the wheel,' host Capehart began before asking former GOP campaign adviser Tara Setmeyer what she thought about the conservative's tweet.

"Ann Coulter is a has-been political hack who is getting more attention on this program than she has in I don't know how many years," Setmeyer stated as Capehart laughed.

"Because she has absolutely zero influence in today's zeitgeist," Setmayer continued on. "So this is what she is doing; she is just trying to make a name for herself, and I am not interested in her ignorance -- she has a history of it."
