Fox Business host Neil Cavuto cracked transphobic jokes in attempt to deal with his obvious discomfort in reporting on Caitlyn Jenner’s newly released Vanity Fair photos.

“Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn Jenner,” Cavuto reported Monday afternoon. “What the hell is going on?”

Reporter Dagen McDowell repeatedly referred to Jenner, who announced she would undergo gender-reassignment surgery, using male pronouns and suggested she was trying to “one-up” her stepdaughter, Kim Kardashain, reported Think Progress.

“She announces last night that she’s pregnant with her second child – well, you know what, I can do you one better than that,” McDowell suggested. “That’s how he unveiled his new identity.”

Cavuto was evidently eager to discuss another topic when the reporter asked if Jenner’s outfit reminded him of a Playboy bunny’s.

“Look at the time,” Cavuto said.

He then drew huge laughs from the entire set by introducing Fox Business contributor Charles Payne as “Charlene Payne” – who said the Jenner story was emblematic of “the times we’re living in.”

“Rome, final days -- but that’s fine,” Cavuto said.
