Anti-LGBT lawyer urges Christians to ‘flee’ US because Ben Carson says the election will be canceled

Remember all those times Ben Carson warned that President Barack Obama would cancel the 2016 election to maintain his grip on power? Anti-LGBT attorney John Price does, and he's using the presidential candidate's wild claims to urge Christians to "flee" the U.S. to "godly" Russia.

Price, a board member of the American Family Association of Indiana who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate nearly 20 years ago, told religious right broadcaster Rick Wiles that the situation was so dire that there was no point in becoming involved in politics, reported Right Wing Watch.

“I think we’re past the point where politics is going to save America,” Price said. “There are a lot of people, including Ben Carson, who said this last December who think there might not even be an election next year, that there may be a declaration from a White House that would avoid an election. So why do we want to spend hours and hours and hours and tens of thousands of dollars on an election that may not happen?”

Price, author of "The End of America," said he understood the violent impulses of anti-government groups such as the Oath Keepers, but he said the even armed revolt could not save the U.S. from liberal depravity.

“When we see Kim Davis sitting six days in a jail but we see murderers who get out in a half an hour on bail, and we say, ‘That’s not right, it’s against our beliefs, it’s against God’s word’ -- when we see all of those things and we want to really get upset and we want to either go to our gun closet or do something violent or go back in the streets, the problem with that is that all we are doing is feeding into the violence that Scripture says is going to happen in the end but it doesn’t solve the problem,” Price said. “God tells us how to solve the problem -- he says flee. There’s a time to fight and there’s a time to flee.”

Price complained that liberals had won the so-called culture wars, and he said conservative Christians are already leaving because “they can’t cause America to go back to the way it was -- it’s too late.”

Wiles, who constantly warns of the coming apocalypse, said God would use "these crazy people in Iran" to destroy the U.S. in wrathful judgment -- and Price lamented this was inevitable because of abortion and homosexuality.

"We certainly are the mother of abominations," Price said, and both men agreed that "godly" Russia was likely safe from God's wrath for its harsh anti-LGBT laws.

Carson, a retired neurosurgeon who is polling in second place in the GOP primary, has claimed on numerous occasions that Obama will cancel the 2016 election to serve a third term.
