A Kentucky county clerk has defied the Supreme Court and multiple other court orders to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

On Tuesday, a federal judge ordered Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis and her staff to appear Thursday morning for a contempt hearing to explain why they have continued to defy the law of the land.

It didn't take long for Twitter to react, some with hilarious take-downs and others with over-the-top apocalyptic talk.

Unsurprisingly, there was some conservative support for Davis with apocalyptic-sounding over-the-top rhetoric.
