Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is turning up the heat in her ongoing battle with Donald Trump.
The progressive senator took to Twitter on Monday afternoon, to let loose with a veritable essay tearing down Trump as perhaps the worst thing of all: a "loser."
After Warren gave an interview slamming Trump for "even threatening to get anywhere near the presidency," The Donald then reached for everything he could to put Warren down. (Regardless of whether it lined up with the facts.)
But for her part, Warren can swing right back again — and on Trump's own medium of choice for lobbing insults against his enemies:
Let’s be honest - @realDonaldTrump is a loser. Count all his failed businesses. See how he cheated people w/ scams like Trump U.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577170.0
See how @realDonaldTrump kept his father’s empire afloat using strategic corporate bankruptcies to skip out on debt.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577193.0
Listen to experts who say @realDonaldTrump might have more money today if he’d put his inheritance in an index fund & left it alone.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577232.0
.@RealDonaldTrump knows he’s a loser. His insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, flagrant narcissism.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577257.0
But, Warren warned, there is a serious danger here — the loser could win this one.
But just because @realDonaldTrump is a loser everywhere else doesn’t mean he’ll lose this election.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577290.0
.@RealDonaldTrump stands ready to tear apart an America that was built on values like decency, community, and concern for our neighbors.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577321.0
Many of history’s worst authoritarians started out as losers – and @realDonaldTrump is a serious threat.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577344.0
Warren also posted the text to Facebook, with an extra paragraph on the stakes in this election:
People talk about how "this is the most important election" in our lifetime every four years, and it gets stale. But consider what hangs in the balance. Affordable college. Accountability for Wall Street. Healthcare for millions of Americans. The Supreme Court. Big corporations and billionaires paying their fair share of taxes. Expanded Social Security. Investments in infrastructure and medical research and jobs right here in America. The chance to turn our back on the ugliness of hatred, sexism, racism and xenophobia. The chance to be a better people.
So here are the orders from Sen. Warren, to all her supporters:
The way I see it, it’s our job to make sure @realDonaldTrump ends this campaign every bit the loser that he started it.— Elizabeth Warren (@Elizabeth Warren) 1458577373.0
