President Donald Trump on Monday disobeyed pleas from his aides and stared directly into a solar eclipse without wearing any protective glasses.
As the Wall Street Journal's Ted Mann reports, Trump removed his glasses and stared directly at the sun even as someone in the crowd below yelled at him to not look.
As he did this, someone in a crowd of aides below shouted "Don't look." https://t.co/dtfSLEzcAZ— Ted Mann (@Ted Mann)1503340833.0
Other Twitter users quickly laughed at Trump, who is infamously resistant to taking any sort of advice, no matter how well founded.
