United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May on Friday took President Donald Trump to task for irresponsibly speculating about the nature of the terrorist attack on a London subway that left 18 people injured.

According to Agence France-Presse reporter Andrew Beatty, May called out the president on Friday and told him he should not assume that the person who committed the attack on the subway was a Muslim.

"I never think it's helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation," May said.

In an early morning Twitter rant on Friday, Trump chastised the U.K. for its handling of terrorism, and he said the country needed to be more "proactive."

“Another attack in London by a loser terrorist,” the president wrote. “These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!”

The president finished off his tirade by crowing about the progress he and his administration have made against ISIS, and he said the lesson London should learn from that is you have to be “proactive and nasty!”
