LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo Ball, appeared on CNN Monday for a chaotic interview with Chris Cuomo following Donald Trump’s Twitter attack on Sunday afternoon.
The president expressed frustration over Ball’s lack of gratitude, after Ball downplayed the role Trump played in his son’s release. Speaking with Cuomo, Ball maintained that he did not need to thank the president, even as Cuomo lectured him for making things “more difficult” for himself.
"If you help, you shouldn't have to say anything,” Ball told Cuomo. "Let him do his political affairs and let me handle my son, and let's just stay in our lane”
The outspoken father also demanded Cuomo say “thank you” to him (which the CNN host vehemently refused to do), called the host a hater and concluded by wishing Trump a happy Thanksgiving.
