A Democratic candidate looking to unseat Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) unveiled a new billboard in California’s 22nd congressional district that features his opponent and Donald Trump on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s leash.

“I’m afraid Devin Nunes won't get to see this awesome new billboard in his honor since he is never in [California’s 22nd congressional district],” Andrew Janz wrote on Twitter. “Can you help me make sure it gets in front of him by sharing this pic and using [the hashtag] Good Boy Devin?”

The billboard features Nunes sporting a monkey backpack and clutching a vanilla ice cream cone next to a crying Trump, who is also wearing a monkey backpack, but notably lacks ice cream. “You have been a good boy, Devin,” the billboard reads.

Nunes, who is the chairman of the House intelligence committee and worked on Trump’s transition team, has been leading an effort to steer his panel’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election away from the Trump campaign. Instead, Nunes has insisted the real issue is “unmasking” by Barack Obama’s administration officials.

In April, Nunes temporarily stepped aside from his committee’s investigation after he met with White House officials to obtain information on the Obama administration’s unmasking of American citizens. He subsequently used that information to provide cover for Trump’s dubious claim that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 election.

In May, the California Republican came under fire for “acting separately” from his House committee by unilaterally issuing subpoenas for members of Obama’s administration. When asked why he was still actively participating in a probe he stepped aside from, Nunes admitted he never officially recused himself from the investigation, telling CNN, “I can do whatever I want, I’m the chairman of the committee.”
