Comedian Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday threw shade at Roy and Kayla Moore, after the GOP Senate candidate’s wife insisted she and her husband aren’t anti-Semitic because they have a Jewish lawyer.
"Fake news will tell you that we don’t care for Jews,” Moore said Monday at a campaign rally in Alabama. “I just want to set the record straight while they’re [the media is] here. One of our attorneys is a Jew.”
“We have very close friends that are Jewish and rabbis and we also fellowship with them,” she added.
Roy Moore has faced criticism over comments he made last week about George Soros, a prominent Democratic fundraiser who is also Jewish.
"He's still going to the same place that people who don't recognize God and morality and accept his salvation are going," Moore said. "And that's not a good place."
Now his wide is facing backlash for her remarks in Alabama. On Tuesday, DeGeneres joined in the fun, wishing “Roy Moore’s attorney” a happy first night of Hanukkah.
