Sarah Sanders denies Trump misogyny after attack on Gillibrand: ‘There’s no way that this is sexist at all’
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday defended President Donald Trump’s recent Twitter attack on Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) by claiming that it was “not sexist at all.”
In a tweet Tuesday morning, Trump responded to Gillibrand’s call for president to step down after several women on Tuesday accused him of sexual abuse.
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!

The tweet was quickly condemned by Democratic senators, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who accused the president of “slut-shaming.”
At Tuesday’s press briefing, Sanders was asked to explain what Trump meant when he said that Gillibrand “would do anything” for a campaign contribution.
“It’s clear that the president is very obvious,” Sanders opined. “This is the same sentiment the president has expressed many times before when he has exposed corruption of the entire political system.”
“There’s no way that this is sexist at all,” the press secretary added.
