‘That’s what you call TV gold’: CNN panel marvels at Roy Moore spokespeople who ‘can’t answer basic questions’

A CNN panel on Tuesday reacted to a stunning interview with a spokesperson for Senate nominee Roy Moore (R-AL).
Jake Tapper interviewed Ted Crockett on the night of Alabama’s special election, stunning the Moore spokesman into silence by informing him that lawmakers don’t need to swear on a Bible in order to serve.
Anderson Cooper played a clip for his fellow panelists, leaving the CNN contributors in shock.
“Good Lord,” one guest noted as the clip ended.
“That’s what you call TV gold,” Cooper quipped.
Tapper’s interview with Crockett came less than a week after Moore spokeswoman Janet Porter delivered a separate stunning performance to Cooper, which led the panelists to marvel at the campaign’s inability to send someone who can answer basic questions.
