Donald Trump asked his acting FBI director a ‘disturbing’ question after Comey firing: Who did you vote for?

During an Oval Office meeting with acting FBI director Andrew McCabe, Donald Trump asked the man slated to fill in for fired director James Comey who he voted for, the Washington Post reports.

According to the Post, Trump and McCabe “exchanged pleasantries” before the president asked his acting FBI director the question. McCabe replied that he did not vote, the Post reports.

Trump also fumed over donations to his wife by a political action committee tied to Clinton.

A former official told the Post McCabe found the president’s line of questioning “disturbing.”

A Republican voter in South Carolina told Fox News that he voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders in the Democratic Primary to help President Donald Trump's reelection chances.

The man, who was wearing a Make America Great Again hat, made the comments at a diner in Columbia Wednesday morning.

"I'm a Republican and a Trump supporter," he said. "But we have an operation chaos going on and all over the state we're encouraging Republicans to go vote for Bernie because we believe Bernie is the best worst candidate in contrasting his socialism against President Trump and his capitalism."

There has been a lot of discussion over the past few days about Bernie Sanders' comment on "60 Minutes" that the authoritarian Cuban leader Fidel Castro had boosted literacy among his people. Sanders is a self-described democratic socialist so I suppose it's not surprising that this would attract some attention, but his comment really wasn't anything a standard-issue liberal wouldn't have made. In fact, the most revered Democrat in America, Barack Obama, said pretty much exactly the same thing when he moved to normalize relations with Cuba in his final years in office.

Nonetheless, the subject was raised again at the presidential debate on Tuesday night when the moderators asked Sanders whether Americans could trust that a socialist would give authoritarians a free pass.

After two days of massive stock market declines over fears of the rapidly spreading coronavirus, President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN and MSNBC on Wednesday morning for reporting on the worldwide health hazard -- and was immediately slapped down on Twitter.

According to the president, who also announced a press conference to address the concerns his administration is bungling the response to the crisis, set for Wednesday night: "Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus (sic) look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape!"
