Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) mocked President Donald Trump’s wish for a parade celebrating U.S. military might.
The South Carolina Republican told CNN’s Manu Raju that parades celebrating the military aren’t necessarily bad, but he rapped Trump’s plan for a display of military hardware in Washington, D.C.
“(It’s) kind of cheesy and a sign of weakness,” Graham told the reporter.
Just spoke to Lindsey Graham who offered some criticism of military parades after the WH called for one. He said there’s nothing wrong with having a parade to celebrate the military but said to have a parade to show military might is “kind of cheesy and a sign of weakness.”# p #4_10 # ad skipped = true #

The senator also said he was “not interested in Russian-style hardware display,” according to Raju.
My hope is this parade will not focus on military hardware, but on military service, sacrifice, and saying ‘Thank You” to those who protect our nation.# p #8_10 # ad skipped = true #
