President Donald Trump, who was endorsed by the National Rifle Association, said on Wednesday that the government should be confiscating guns absent due process.

During a White House meeting with lawmakers, President Trump said authorities should have taken away the guns of Parkland shooter Nikolas Jacob Cruz prior to the massacre, "whether they had the right or not."
