Former country star Shania Twain is the artist behind Come On Over, the best-selling album every recorded by a female artist.

Twain has has been retired from music since losing her voice after being bit by a tick while horseback riding in Virginia.

But she's re-emerging now, and announcing herself as a Trump supporter in the process.

Twain is Canadian, but tells a Guardian interviewer that she would have voted for Trump.

She says the president—who lies at rates that shock experts who study politicians and honesty—seemed "honest."

“I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bullshit. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”
