A furious Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) unleashed a load of vitriol on EPA Scott Pruitt on Sunday morning calling him both "stupid" and a "chucklehead."
Appearing on CBS's Face the Nation, the southern senator was asked by host Margaret Brennan what he thinks of the scandals dogging Pruitt, and Kennedy dug right in with an epic diatribe against one of President Donald Trump's favorite cabinet members.
"Well, to Mr Pruitt, and other members of the president's cabinet, I would say that ethics matter. Impropriety matters. The appearance of impropriety mattered," he lectured. "To the extent that you stop acting like a chucklehead, stop the unforced errors, stop leading with your chin."
He was just getting warmed up.
"If you don't need fly first class, don't!" he continued. "Don't turn on the siren non your SUV just to watch people move over, you represent the president of the United States. All of this behavior is juvenile and it is distracting from the business that we are trying to do for the American people."
Kennedy later called Pruitt's actions "stupid."
