On Tuesday evening, Donald Trump addressed the Susan B. Anthony List 11th Annual Campaign for Life Gala, an event celebrating the group’s mission to reduce access to abortion.
“When I ran for office, I pledged to stand for life, and as president, that’s exactly what I have done and I have kept my promise and I think everybody here understands that totally,” he said, CNN reported.
After he concluded his speech he underlined his commitment to stripping women of their reproductive rights on Twitter.
“For the first time since Roe v. Wade, America has a Pro-Life President, a Pro-Life Vice President, a Pro-Life House of Representatives and 25 Pro-Life Republican State Capitals!” the president gushed.
He followed up with, “In America, we believe in LIFE!”
Twitter reacted swiftly in pointing out the hypocrisies in the statement.
Unless that life happens to be brown.

Hilarious. How many women have abortions because of you?

How does David Dennison feel about abortion access?

But you believe in the death penalty, that’s not very pro life, stupid.

Unless, you know, the old spray and pray doesn't work, and you gotta find a guy to pay off the broad so she gets an abortion. Sure.

Pro-life? Hardly. Just pro-birth. Once someone is born, you really couldn’t care less about their life.

I know that this has been a slow catastrophe playing out over the past year and a half, and that a woman’s right to choose has never been soundly guaranteed even after Roe v. Wade, but this, from the President’s Twitter account, is enormously jarring to read.

Crying shame that you don’t care about the quality of life. Just the quantity, aka, a tax base.
— CJ (@CAJinSB) May 23, 2018
So does that mean women are going to have to go back to getting abortions in back alleys with coat hangers?

Hmmm. You seem to have forgotten that America is not a Christian nation. It is a nation founded on religious freedom. For all.

The only life you’re pro about is your own, you malignant narcissistic liar.
