Kellyanne Conway comes unglued on CNN host — and says calling out Trump’s lies hurts his ratings

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway on Wednesday came unglued on CNN host John Berman after he called out President Donald Trump for repeatedly lying to the American people.

After Berman pointed out that someone in the White House had obviously lied about Trump having no involvement in crafting a misleading statement about the infamous 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian nationals, Conway angrily lashed out for claiming that her boss had been dishonest.

“Respectfully, I don’t think this has helped CNN,” said an angry Conway. “Your ratings are way down because — I know I hit a nerve there, John, but let’s be fair — you like to say ‘lie’ and ‘the president’ and ‘Sarah [Huckabee Sanders]’ in the same sentence. Excuse me, this is not benefiting you. You’re not getting new viewers who want to hear this junk and this funk.”

Conway then challenged Berman to prove that Russia had altered votes at the ballot box in 2016 to show they helped Trump get elected — which was a claim that Berman never once asserted during his interview.

Conway then pivoted from that to attacking former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton — which seemed to flabbergast Berman.

“I didn’t ask about Hillary Clinton!” he said.

“If you’re talking about the 2016 election, you are!” said a defiant Conway.

WATCH: Trump’s chief of staff starts shouting when grilled about president’s refusal to accept election results

On Thursday, CNN's Wolf Blitzer pressed White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows about President Donald Trump's refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power after the election, and became visibly agitated and raised his voice under questioning.

"He said he's not sure the election could be honest here in the United States," said Blitzer. "Is he saying if he wins, he'll accept the results, if he loses, he won't commit to a peaceful transition?"

"I haven't heard him say that," said Meadows. "I can tell you what I have heard him say, Wolf, is really overwhelming concern about mail-in ballots ... we're seeing some activist judges across the country interpret the law that really is not on the books. They're actually making the law. I think that's what most of this is about, making sure that as long as it's free and fair. If it's free and fair, we'll accept the will of the American people. We believe that will be the re-election of Donald Trump."

A conservative who usually defends President Donald Trump admitted to CNN on Thursday that the president made a "huge mistake" when he refused to commit to having a peaceful transfer of power should he lose the 2020 election.

During a panel discussion on the president's latest controversial remarks about the upcoming election, liberal guest Bakari Sellers argued that Americans should be "very terrified" about Trump implicitly encouraging violence in the event that he loses.

CNN host uses Fox News doctor’s own words against him after he accuses Biden of taking amphetamine

President Donald Trump and his allies seem to realize that they've dug themselves a hole in attacking former Vice President Joe Biden as mentally unfit. With expectations so low, a Biden win in the first debates are almost assured, even with a Fox News host.

In a discussion Tuesday, Trump began to pivot away from his non-stop advertising attacking Biden's cognitive abilities and instead claim Biden is a "professional" who knows what he's doing.

"Maybe that would work if the president himself had not been saying this about Biden on repeat for the entirety of the campaign," said CNN host Brianna Keilar.
