First Lady Malenia Trump made her first appearance in 26 days after being diagnosed with a benign kidney condition.
Instead of wishing his wife well, President Donald Trump used her slight moment in the spotlight to bash the media. President Trump tweeted. "The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife."

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace was astounded that President Trump lied about the media coverage.
"I don't know a lot of mainstream outlets that covered the lies he assembled in this tweet. We didn't cover a single theory from her absence from the public arena, but now we are because the president tweeted it," Wallace said.
"It's almost as if painting themselves as the victims allows them to do what they do. So they can fall back on being victims. They undermine every -- every institution, and try to pursue their own narcissistic ends," MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude said.
Wallace said the president had no reason to make his wife's surgery all about him.
"I do not accept that as an explanation for your wife's illness. I mean the fact that nothing is sacred, that even your wife being sick and then reappearing is an excuse to get on Twitter and unload a screed of whackadoo stuff," Wallace said.
