NRA TV host Grant Stinchfield, a staunch Trump supporter, admitted on Tuesday that he was not happy with some of the pageantry surrounding this week's summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
In particular, he said that Trump was being far too gracious toward his North Korean counterpart, who in the past has threatened to launch nuclear weapons at the United States.
"I was not happy with President Trump for his touchy-feely, thumbs-up, all-smiles with a brutal dictator who sent Otto Warmbier back in a coffin," he said. "Do not be all smiles with someone who is killing people as we speak."
Stinchfield also admitted that conservatives would have gone ballistic if anything remotely similar had happened under former President Barack Obama.
Some of Stinchfield's fans, however, were none too pleased with him calling out the president, as they lobbed insults at him for daring to compare him to Obama.
Check out some of the reactions below.
@NRATV @stinchfield1776 I disagree because we have to start somewhere. It's like saying President Nixon shouldn't have went to China in 72.— Mr. Arnold 🇺🇲 (@Mr. Arnold 🇺🇲)1528825957.0
