The white San Francisco woman who called the police on an 8-year-old black girl selling water outside her apartment has stepped down from her weed company, WGME reports.
Alison Ettel, who earned the nickname "Permit Patty" in the backlash to the video, stepped down from Treatwell Health, a cannabis company that makes cannabis tinctures for people and dogs.
The company had been losing business since Ettel was identified from the video.
A spokeswoman for the company said the encounter was a mistake, and Ettel has apologized.
