Earlier this week, President Donald Trump encouraged House Republicans to pass an immigration reform bill for him to sign.
On Friday, however, Trump completely reversed course.
"Republicans should stop wasting their time on Immigration until after we elect more Senators and Congressmen/women in November," Trump wrote. "Dems are just playing games, have no intention of doing anything to solves this decades old problem. We can pass great legislation after the Red Wave!"

Trump's declaration that Republicans should stop working on immigration reform comes just one day after the House GOP failed to pass a hardline immigration overhaul authored by Rep. Bob Gootlatte (R-VA).
Trump had told the House GOP in a meeting this week that he would sign any bill they voted on, although now he's saying they shouldn't bother to pass any bills until after the midterm elections.
