A CNN panel on Monday mocked President Donald Trump after reports arose that he has grown frustrated by North Korea's reluctance to unilaterally disarm its entire nuclear weapons arsenal.
While discussing North Korea demanding that the United States make more concessions before it will consider starting to dismantle its nuclear program, guest Christiane Amanpour pointed out that no one should be surprised by Kim Jong-un's regime playing games with the Trump administration.
"On North Korea, you know, we've spoke to American experts and it's a very long and complicated thing," she said. "There was no promise and no specifics at that meeting in Singapore... There was no specifics, no promise from North Korea about a timeline or denuclearization or a declaration -- just a basic declaration! -- of what they have."
"Yeah, they've delivered on what they promised," quipped CNN host John Berman. "Which is nothing."
CNN's Alisyn Camerota laughed at this and then pointed to reports that the North Korean government has cancelled followup meetings that were scheduled with American officials -- and have even demanded more money in exchange for continued talks.
"They've reneged on the things he thought was going to happen!" she said.
