Donald Trump is doubling-down on his controversial meetings with Vladimir Putin, the Russian dictator who American intelligence agencies say interfered in the 2016 election to install Trump as President of the United States.

On Thursday, Trump asked an aide to invite the Russian dictator to Washington, D.C. for a second summit sometime this fall.

On Twitter, the reaction was an immediate gush of bemused rage as people were confused by the shameless brazenness of Trump's courting of a man who American intelligence says undermined the integrity of our elections.
